Soroptimist regions across North America, Latin America and the Pacific Rim joined for their 2024 region conferences from April to June to embrace the theme of "Reaching Higher Together." These gatherings served as a vital platform to unite and inspire members, promoting collaborative efforts, inclusivity and generosity. By working together, we aim to drive new membership, increase brand awareness and enhance program participation, all in pursuit of our Big Goal.

SIA board members also had the opportunity to visit various conferences to meet members, answer questions, and ignite inspiration and motivation. Their presence helped reinforce our collective commitment to making a lasting global impact through our mission of empowering women and girls through education.

HIGHLIGHTS

Across the federation, 73 members signed up to become new Stargazer monthly donors. These new donors are giving a total of $2,025 per month, which means nearly $25,000 in additional funds for our Dream Programs!
North Atlantic Region clubs participated in individual appointments to review their club bylaws in anticipation of a federation-wide initiative to update/modernize club governing documents.
In Southern Region, 15 first-timers and 19 Laurel Society members attended the conference. There were 10 new Stargazer sign ups. And they had a meet and greet for potential members to establish a new club, with six new members signing up.
Brazil Region featured a vibrant parade of flags where each club proudly represented their area, donning traditional attire that showcased the rich diversity of their regions. Over 140 attendees raised a toast to unity and collaboration, celebrating the integration of local Polish and German cultures, which added a unique and colorful dimension to the event.
At the federation board meeting in June, board members and Executive Director/CEO Michelle Burnett shared their heartfelt reflections on the incredible experiences they had while visiting each region. They cherished the opportunity to connect with members, participate in exciting activities, and witness firsthand the remarkable achievements and unique stories of success within each region.
