Get ready for 2024, Soroptimists!

It’s that time again when one year has ended and a new one has just begun. Doesn’t it always feel like the year comes to a close so quickly?

It can be helpful to reflect on the past year and what you would like to accomplish in 2024, both personally and through your Soroptimist volunteer service. Journaling is a great way to process your thoughts through writing, so you can look back and see what you’ve accomplished and where you’ve grown. Here are a few prompts to get you started writing (or thinking) about it:

When did I build up other women through compliments, encouragement and celebrating their achievements?
Did I apologize for things I didn’t need to?
Where did I make a difference in the lives of others, and where can I focus my energies in this new year?
What am I most looking forward to in this new year as a Soroptimist member and volunteer?

We have a few ideas to help get you started thinking about the last question. Mark your calendars for some exciting opportunities in 2024!

International Women’s Day

March is a special time for Soroptimists, as it’s Women’s History Month, and we also celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8. We have some exciting things in store through virtual events, special social media features and opportunities for you to honor the women in your life. Stay tuned for more details!

Region Conferences

If you have never attended your region’s conference, perhaps this is the year to make plans to join with other Soroptimists in your region for an exciting time of learning, fellowship and celebration of Live Your Dream Awardees. Region conferences are from March to June, so check your region’s website for conference dates and registration information.

48th Biennial Convention

Will you join us in Bellevue, Washington, from July 24 to 27? Excitement is building for our first in-person convention since 2018! This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with fellow Soroptimists from our federation and participate in various learning, networking and social events. Registration will launch in early 2024 with early bird rates available. We hope to see you there!
