Grant of Friendship Opportunity
Soroptimist International Aotearoa New Zealand (SIANZ) is extending a generous Grant of Friendship opportunity.
Grant of Friendship Details
The Grant of Friendship offers a Soroptimist, two Soroptimists traveling together, or a Soroptimist accompanied by a spouse or traveling companion the opportunity to experience up to 21 days of home hosting among the Clubs of the South Island of Aotearoa New Zealand during March 2027. The successful applicant would also be invited to join the SIANZ National Conference being held in Wellington March 19-21, 2027 at their own expense. Return travel to the South Island and travel between clubs is at the applicant’s own expense. Extra travel to areas where there are no clubs may be included, but this is also at the applicant’s own expense.
The grant of friendship applies only to the South Island of New Zealand. If required, SIANZ will help with travel plans and proposed timing of itineraries. Clubs are in Canterbury (Christchurch & North Canterbury), Nelson (Nelson & Waimea), Westland, Southland (Invercargill & Gore) and Otago (Dunedin).
How to Apply
Applications for SIANZ’s Grant of Friendship close on November 15, 2026. New Zealand has a no-smoking policy at all indoor public facilities; this will include the homes of the hosts. Applicants must provide relevant health and/or special diet requirements in their application. Soroptimists are invited to send their “reason for application” to Anne Gover, Friendship Grant Coordinator, SIANZ.
