Introducing the SIA Photo Contest
Get ready to showcase the incredible work being done by Soroptimist clubs and members with the SIA Photo Contest! This exciting opportunity highlights the mission and programs that empower women and girls worldwide. Through powerful imagery, this contest aims to celebrate the positive change Soroptimist clubs are making in their communities.
Whether capturing the moment a woman receives a Live Your Dream Award, an inspiring Dream It, Be It program, or a community fundraiser in action, each photo tells a story of empowerment and transformation.
This contest is open to all Soroptimist clubs and members, with unlimited entries allowed. Each submission must be made on behalf of a club, and winning clubs will receive recognition and prizes. All individuals featured prominently in photos must have signed media consent forms, which clubs will be asked to produce upon being selected as finalists.

What Makes a Great Photo?
We’re looking for high-quality photos that effectively capture the impact of Soroptimist’s programs. Here are some tips to help your submission stand out:
High Resolution: Please submit clear, high-resolution images. These will be used for print and online publications, so quality is key!
Tip: High-resolution images are typically larger than 2 MB and the best quality images are 300 DPI (dots per inch). Check the properties of your image file.
Good Lighting: Ensure your subjects are well-lit—natural lighting works best. Avoid overly dark or bright photos that hide important details.
Capture Positive Moments in Action: Show the impact of Soroptimist’s work with dynamic photos that highlight real moments of empowerment and joy. Focus on the women and girls we serve, not just club members, and capture how our programs make a difference.
Diversity: We encourage you to feature the diverse women and girls we serve in your photos.

Important Reminders
No media consent will result in disqualification. A photo release is required for all individuals prominently featured in images, except for those appearing incidentally in public spaces as part of the background.
Focus on the mission in submissions. Photos should focus on Soroptimist’s programs and the women and girls we serve, rather than club members alone.
Unlimited entries are allowed. Clubs can submit as many photos as they like—don’t be afraid to share your best shots!
By submitting, you grant Soroptimist permission to use your photo in marketing and promotional materials, including but not limited to our website, social media channels, newsletters, and print publications.
