Soroptimist Welcomes New Chief Financial Officer, Kim Grossman
Soroptimist International of the Americas, Inc., a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment, welcomes Kim Grossman as chief financial officer.
Kim is a graduate of Temple University (2008), where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Fox School of Business. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and also serves on the board of directors of the Penndel Mental Health Center in Penndel, Pa.
“I am truly excited to be a part of the SIA team,” says Kim. “I can't wait to expand my understanding of how SIA impacts women and girls to help them reach their full potential. Becoming a CFO is a dream come true for my nerd heart, and I am so lucky it is at an organization where I can help other girls achieve similar dreams.”
For the last 15 years, Kim has worked for public accounting firms specializing in services to nonprofit organizations. Her experience includes membership organizations, international organizations, social service organizations, community development organizations, cultural institutions, private foundations, and educational institutions.
“Kim is exactly who we’ve been looking for,” says Michelle Burnett, Soroptimist Executive Director & CEO. “Her extensive experience providing services to nonprofit organizations and passion for our mission to help women and girls achieve their dreams will be a true asset to our organization.”
Kim is originally from Philadelphia, Pa., and now resides in Montgomery County, Pa., with her husband, Tom, her son, Howie, and her cat, Ceeley.
