In Memoriam

SIA is saddened to report the passing of 1992-1993 SIA President Roberta Porter. A member of SI/Eugene, OR (Northwestern Region), since 1972, Roberta was urged to become a Soroptimist member after her family returned to Eugene to run a family business. Before that time, Roberta had a career in nursing, school nursing, and public health in Washington and California. Roberta was also an artist, and after her retirement from the family business, ran her own art studio. Read more about Roberta and her commitment to Soroptimist.

Club Recognition

We are looking forward to celebrating and acknowledging your success in 2022-2023! Clubs who meet one or more of the Club Roadmap Metrics will receive a recognition email in August 2023. Additionally, we’ll soon be sharing updates to the Soroptimist Celebrating Success Awards program so we can award your best practices. Stay tuned!

Join us in celebrating the exceptional leadership roles of our UN Representatives in New York, who are making a real impact in advancing gender equality and empowering women and girls worldwide. Dues Increase

Continue making a difference in your community and across the globe by renewing your membership for the 2023-2024 club year! Like many organizations, SIA has felt the impact of the changes in the global economy. For the first time in five years, there will be a dues increase. The new pricing reflects a $2.00 COLA increase, a $2.00 liability dues increase (for club members in the United States), and the annual increase in the voluntary contribution of Founders Pennies. Your membership is important to the women and girls we serve, and we are taking steps to boost existing member benefits and expand our efforts for you. Please feel free to visit our frequently asked questions for more information.
