Member Spotlight: Rosella Santiesteban

Rosella joined Soroptimist in 1977. She is a member of SI/Rio Tijuana, Baja California (Mexico/Centroamerica Region).

Through Soroptimist, I have found sisters with the same ideals, who want to help other women live better lives. Friends from other cities with whom I share good moments but are also present in difficult times.

I have realized through social media, that as Soroptimists we manage to make history with our service to the community.

In 2022 I was elected SIA Board Director. To my surprise a person on Facebook I did not remember, thanked me because when she was 10 years old, Soroptimists had helped her mother, more than 35 years ago. Thanks to the help from our club her mother achieved a better life, and her three children are now professionals. Knowing this, I tell my fellow members that through Soroptimist programs we manage to change not only lives, but future generations.

In the future, through social networks, we will realize the great change we are achieving.

I am a proud Soroptimist.

Atravez de Soroptimista, he encontrado hermanas en ideales, que queremos ayudar a otras mujeres a vivir mejor. Amigas de otras ciudades que compartimos buenos momentos y que estan presentes en los momentos difíciles también.

Me he dado cuenta por las redes, que si logramos las Soroptimistas hacer historia con nuestro servicio a la comunidad.

En este 2022 fui elegida Directora Ejecutiva, donde fue mi sorpresa que en FB una persona que no recordaba, me dio las gracias, de otra ciudad (ella tenia 10 anos) y como soroptimistas ayudamos a su mama, hace mas de 35 anos, y ahora sus hijos nos dan las gracias, gracias a la ayuda de nuestro club su mama logro una mejor vida y sus tres hijos, todos son profesionistas. Al saber esto les digo a mis consocias, que con los progamas soroptimistas logramos cambiar no solo vidas sino futuras generaciones.

En un futuro con la redes sociales nos daremos cuenta del gran cambio que estamos logrando.

Soy una orgullosa soroptimista.
