One hundred years ago, the Soroptimist Club of San Jose, California, chartered on December 4, 1924, making it the eighth club in what would become Soroptimist International of the Americas, Inc., and the 10th Soroptimist club worldwide.

It wasn’t until I was 36 that I found the courage to break free from the life I had known and start over. As a single mother, I faced enormous challenges, including raising a child with a learning disability. Yet, I was determined to create a better life for my family. Thank you for believing in women like me.

Giving Tuesday will be here before we know it! But there’s no need to wait. Now is the perfect time to start thinking about how to get involved in this global day of giving.
