Looking Ahead: Three Ways to Celebrate International Women’s Day

On March 8, the United Nations, organizations, and individuals around the world will be celebrating the 114th International Women’s Day. As we come together to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, we must also challenge the global community to continue to work towards true gender equality.

Here are three ways that you can commemorate this International Women’s Day:

  1. Join Soroptimist members at the International Women’s Day Tea Party and invite your friends to join the fun and learn more about our impact and mission. You can also sip your beverage of choice from this branded SIA teacup!

  2. Learn more about the United Nations IWD theme DIGITall: Innovation and technology for gender equality and how you can get involved both locally and globally. Is there a way that your club could participate in an Big Goal Accelerator Project to help more women and girls access technology and education?

  3. And, of course, you can make a donation to help support SIA’s Dream Programs and the Big Goal of reaching half a million more women and girls by 2031!

As Soroptimists, we are working every day at home and abroad to help women and girls achieve their dreams of economic empowerment. Thank you for your work, passion, and generosity on International Women’s Day and beyond.

Here’s to powerful and impactful International Women’s Day!
