Giving Thanks- Executive Director/CEO Michelle Burnett

Hello Soroptimist, I am Michelle Burnett SIA’s Executive Director/CEO, as this Thanksgiving season approaches, I wanted to take this moment to share just how grateful I am for each and every one of you. Together, we have so many things to be thankful for.

In just this past fiscal year:

  • We gave more than 2,000 Live Your Dream Awards to women in need, propelling them toward goals they once thought unattainable

  • We created possibilities for more than 19,000 girls through our Dream It, Be It program, empowering them to believe in their dreams and chase after them

  • We supported nearly 14,000 women and girls through Big Goal Accelerator projects, lighting up their paths to happiness and success

  • Most importantly, together and through that work we helped over 35,000 women and girls live their dreams!

Whether it’s helping to provide child care for a woman attending night classes, showing up for a young girl struggling to stay in school, or giving some of what we have to those who need it the most, every act of generosity counts. And each of us is contributing toward building the better world we all want to live in. This is the very essence of Soroptimist – it’s what sets us apart.

These accomplishments could not have happened without us working together! By uniting behind our programs, we are reaching even greater heights as an organization. I hope you feel a strong sense of accomplishment and motivation.

So, I invite you to join us this giving season and continue your support. Together we have the power to reshape the future for women and girls, making it brighter and more promising than ever before.  Without you none of what we do would be possible.

It is an absolute pleasure to serve as your ED/CEO, and I’m constantly inspired by the dedication of our amazing Soroptimist members. Together, we make dreams come true, and for that, I am thankful for each and every one of you.

Thank YOU!

Michelle Burnett
