Investing in Dreams & the Soroptimist Brand

As Soroptimists, everything we do—locally and globally—reflects our organization’s values and mission. That’s why consistent branding is so important. It helps ensure our collective efforts are recognized as part of a unified, powerful movement. Use the following tips and information to ensure your club’s efforts are aligned with the Soroptimist brand.

Why Does a Consistent Brand Matter?

A consistent brand builds trust and makes your club—and our organization as a whole–feel reliable and recognizable. When your materials have a unified look and message, it’s easier for donors, partners and the public to see how your local work connects to our global mission. Strong branding allows potential members, donors and supporters to connect emotionally with our cause, which can lead to increased engagement and loyalty. Remember, we can’t effectively showcase your club’s amazing work if it isn’t clearly branded as part of Soroptimist!

How Can Clubs Stay on Brand?

Every club within SIA is a part of our global federation—and that means we all share the responsibility of upholding a consistent, unified brand. Following SIA’s branding guidelines helps amplify our collective impact and ensures the public clearly understands who we are and what we stand for.

Use the Correct Logo

Our official logo features the Soroptimist “S” and the tagline “Investing in Dreams.” This logo replaced previous versions, such as the Soroptimist International (SI) emblem (woman with arms raised) and the “S” logo with the tagline “Best for Women.” These outdated logos should no longer be used in any materials and have been officially retired.

All levels of SIA should use the “S” logo consistently and not alter its look in any way. When clubs and regions create unique or different logos for local use, it interferes and competes with SIA’s overall brand.

To maintain a strong and cohesive brand across the federation, all club promotional materials, documents, websites, social media, and event signage must feature the current SIA logo. If you spot older logos still in use, please update them as soon as possible.

Note: The current SI emblem may only be used when promoting SI-specific initiatives. In those cases, both the SI emblem and the SIA logo should appear, with the SIA logo taking prominence.

Using the logo is only one part of staying on brand. Here are other key ways to keep your club’s branding consistent:

Promote Dream Programs and Big Goal Accelerator Projects

Our Dream Programs and Big Goal Accelerator Projects are a true testament to what Soroptimist stands for and what we strive to do—provide women and girls with access to education. Promoting these programs also helps extend our reach by attracting more applicants, appealing to those who wish to make an impact by donating to a good cause, and making ourselves known to the greater public, which helps to increase our global recognition. Use Headquarters-Produced Branding Tools

Check out our Recognition & Branding page for downloadable logos, fonts, and visual design guidelines to ensure uniformity across all materials. Clubs can access customizable templates for social media, business cards, flyers, Zoom backgrounds, and publicity kits for our Dream Programs. Additionally, the page includes messaging tools, editorial style guides, and how-to resources to support effective communication and storytelling.

Share SIA Content on Your Club’s Social Media

Help your followers understand the broader impact of Soroptimist by sharing content directly from SIA’s social media pages. This includes posts about Dream Program participants, club projects, campaign updates, and stories that highlight our mission in action. By resharing SIA content, your club reinforces our collective identity and connects local audiences to our global impact.

Share Stories That Highlight Our Mission

Compelling stories are one of the most powerful ways to show the real-life impact of our work. Share personal stories from Dream Program recipients, community members or your own club projects that illustrate how Soroptimist is helping women and girls achieve their dreams. These narratives inspire, engage and remind people why our mission matters.

Write and Speak with Soroptimist Style

Editorial Style

Consistency in writing style reinforces our brand just as much as visuals do. Our editorial style guidelines outline how to write in a voice that reflects our values. They cover grammar, punctuation, tone and word choices—so your materials sound unified and aligned with the Soroptimist brand. Following these guidelines helps ensure that whether someone reads a club newsletter or a federation-wide update, the messaging feels cohesive and recognizable.

Key Messages

Our key messaging helps clubs confidently communicate who we are, what we do and where we’re headed. It includes messaging around our mission, the Soroptimist experience, branding, and more. It also provides messaging guidance that aligns with our strategic plan—helping clubs and regions connect their local efforts to our federation-wide goals. Using this resource ensures your communications support a shared vision and resonate with current and potential members, partners, and supporters.

Show the World Who We Are

When every club uses consistent branding—from logos and messaging to program promotion and storytelling—we make our collective voice stronger and more recognizable. It shows that we’re united in purpose and committed to empowering women and girls through access to education.

Your local efforts are part of something bigger, and branding helps make that connection clear.

If you have any questions or need support with branding, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at siahq@soroptimist.org—we’re happy to help!
