Risk Management Reminders  

SIA provides an optional Directors & Officers/Management Liability insurance policy, which protects the personal assets of a U.S. club’s volunteer officers against legal claims related to financial or management practices in conducting club business. Please see the SIA Club and Region Insurance Overview and Handbook for more information about this policy, which costs $300 (no matter when your club enrolls).

Send your club’s Management Liability Program Enrollment form (don’t forget to sign!) and check to Pacific Ag Insurance at the address on the form. Or pay online directly to Pacific Ag Insurance, using these instructions. Coverage will begin when submitted to the insurance carrier on the following dates: August 18 for applications/payments received between June 3 and August 17; November 18 for applications/payments received between August 18 and November 17, and February 18, 2026 for applications/payments received after November 17.  

For U.S. clubs holding events where Soroptimist members serve alcohol: please see the “TIPS Training” section at the end of the insurance handbook. If your club is holding an event where your local government jurisdiction requires a license to hold the event, please contact Pacific Ag Insurance immediately (559-584-3391) to secure the proper liability insurance as coverage has changed since last year.
