Best for Women March 2026
Celebrating International Women's Day All Month Long
March is Women’s History Month—a time to honor the impact women have made on history, culture and our communities.
As Soroptimists, you uplift women and girls every day through your generosity and commitment. This month, we celebrate not only women everywhere—but you. Thank you for the lasting difference you make.
Ways to Get Involved
Celebrate IWD and Women's History Month
March offers the perfect opportunity to unite communities, organizations and Soroptimists around our common goal of helping women and girls. Get inspired with our list of fun ideas to honor and uplift women this month!
Fifth Annual Tea Party: March 18, 8:30 p.m. (ET)
SIA’s Fifth Annual Women’s Day Tea Party will also serve as a virtual parallel event as part of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women's Non-Governmental Organization forum. Join us for an inspiring event to celebrate how our mission of increasing access to education for women and girls is making a global impact. Don’t forget to wear your tea party attire!
Make Twice the Difference
This International Women’s Day, your generosity can make twice the difference, helping even more women rise above their circumstances and live their dreams. Thanks to a $4,600 match from Linda McDoniels of SI/Folsom El Dorado Hills, CA (Sierra Nevada Region), every dollar you give will be doubled now through March 8!
Walk for Women: Move for a Mission
You can also take action in your community! Host or join a Walk for Women event this March to raise awareness of Soroptimist’s vital mission and the impact we make together. Let’s stand united, show our commitment to equality, and champion a better future for women and girls everywhere.

SoroptimistsUpliftHER Second Quarter Focus: Single Moms
March 21 is National Single Parent Day, established in 1984 to honor the sacrifices and contributions of single parents, sometimes under great hardship. While this day is US-focused, it’s always a good time to acknowledge the obstacles single moms face and consider how your club can support their educational and career dream. Visit our blog to learn more and take action!
A Life-Changing Program
"Receiving a Live Your Dream Award put me in a position professionally to afford to send my kids to college, which would never have been possible otherwise. So this award changed my life, but also the next generation of my family."
Our programs help single mothers like Carolyn support their families. Read her story.
Grow Your Leadership Skills
Registration opens this month for the 2026 Leadership Round Table! This training can help you enhance communication, decision-making and the ability to inspire others—skills that benefit all members around the globe. Watch your inbox for registration details.
Conventions News & Updates
Convention is four months away! We're heading to the INSPIRE Entertainment Resort in Incheon, South Korea: five-star dining, a shopping mall, an indoor water park, and so much more. It's the kind of place that lives up to its name.
Enjoy the usual convention favorites—the flag ceremony, the Volunteer Recognition Luncheon, the exclusive Laurel Society Event—plus brand-new experiences designed to bring our global community together in fresh, fun ways.
We're also thrilled to welcome Libby Gill as a keynote speaker. An executive coach, leadership expert and award-winning author, Libby will reframe servant leadership as a bold, forward-moving approach for leading with clarity and confidence.
