Know Before You Go: Convention

There are only seven days until we gather again after six long years. This time, to reach new heights at SIA’s 48th Biennial Convention.

Packing
Bellevue’s typical July weather is a high of 77° F (25° C) and a low of 55° F (13° C). Here is the suggested attire for each day of the convention:

  • Wednesday, July 24—Friendship Day. Wear traditional or native dress reflecting your country’s culture and Soroptimist’s diversity.

  • Thursday, July 25—Soroptimist Scarf Day. Wear business attire, including the official 48th Biennial Convention scarf or one of your own Soroptimist-branded scarves. Consider pairing the official scarf with the official 48th Biennial Convention button-down dress shirt to really demonstrate your Soroptimist pride!

  • Friday, July 26—Represent Your Club Day. Wear business casual attire that reflects your club’s name. Have fun with it and consider matching attire on this day!

  • Friday night—Attend the Demin and Diamonds Dance Party adorned in your jeans and bling!

  • Saturday, July 27—Casual Day. You’ve had a long week attending workshops and enjoying Bellevue. Sport the official 48th Biennial Convention Golf Shirt on this day and be as relaxed as you’d like, especially if you’ll attend ZUMBA® when sessions end.

  • Saturday night—Dress to impress for the Volunteer Recognition Gala, where you will be the STAR! Formal evening attire is requested (evening gowns and tuxedos).

Pack light. We will be debuting a lot of new SIA-branded attire and other items. Be sure there is room in your suitcase to bring home your new SIA gear!
