The Important Role of SIA’s Federation Fundraising Council - Plus Meet the 2026-2027 Team

2025-2026 Federation Fundraising Council at the 49th Biennial Convention in Incheon

Every Live Your Dream Award® and every Dream It, Be It® program starts with someone who believed in a woman’s or girl’s dream enough to invest in it. Behind many of those investments is a group of volunteers who help Soroptimist® members and supporters give with purpose: the SIA Federation Fundraising Council (FFRC).

What the FFRC Does

The council was refreshed in December 2024 following a bylaws change approved by clubs at the 48th Biennial Convention. The revamped Fundraising Council brings new energy and culturally relevant strategies to Soroptimist’s fundraising, uniting diverse leaders from across our geographic regions to grow Soroptimist’s culture of philanthropy and raise funds for our mission.

The council is set up to reflect our global membership. Country Leaders guide working groups that each focus on a different area of fundraising, and they shape messages and approaches that resonate locally and support the Soroptimist Dream Programs. Because our members live in 20 countries and territories and speak many languages, this local knowledge helps every member feel invited and equipped to give in a way that fits their community.

How the FFRC Supports Philanthropy

Council members serve as advocates, mentors and connectors. They share fundraising ideas with clubs and regions, help members tell the story of the women and girls our programs serve, and strengthen the giving that moves us toward our Big Goal: reaching 500,000 women and girls through access to education by 2031.

A message from Chair Charlie Rodgers

This group isn’t just about planning fundraisers. It’s a team of passionate members who bring unique ideas, energy, and heart to every project. They work together, support one another, and always find creative ways to overcome challenges and reach their goals.

What’s amazing is how everyone’s voice is heard in the Council. Whether someone has a new idea or a different way of looking at things, there’s always room at the table. This year, on the heels of convention, we’ve added the Korean Working Group to deepen our reach. That sense of collaboration is what helps us make a real impact for women and girls everywhere.
