2023-2025 SIA Board of Directors Election Results
Congratulations to the following Soroptimists elected to serve on the 2023-2025 SIA Board of Directors from September 1, 2023, through August 31, 2025:
Melanie Kenny, SI of Saskatoon, Western Canada Region (Electoral Area 2); Madoka Ushio, SI of Asahikawa, Japan Kita (Electoral Area 4); Maria Odette Nassif do Vol, SI of Arundu, America del Sur Region (Electoral Area 6); Gabrielle “Billie” Calizo-Quimpo, SI of Kalibo, Philippines Region (Electoral Area 7); Mayumi Tsuji, SI of Mie, Japan Chuo Region (Electoral Area 8); Susan Gilbey, SI of Westminster, Desert Coast Region (Electoral Area 9); and Sue Riney, SI of Oak Harbor, Northwestern Region (Electoral Area 13).
Please note Electoral Area 5 (Korea Region) was not able to identify a nominee in two rounds of nominations (round one from August 1-September 15, and round two from November 15-December 15). Therefore, as provided in SIA Procedure H.1.b., the current Board member (Jung-mi Lim) shall remain the electoral area board director for an additional year (2023-2024), and Electoral Area 5 will take part in the board elections that will begin in August 2023 for a position on the board for the 2024-2026 term.
