How to Increase Your Laurel Society Recognition & Common Questions

Since 1994, Soroptimist has relied on the inspiring generosity of our Laurel Society members, who have contributed a combined 20 million dollars to help women through the Live Your Dream Awards and other Soroptimist programs.

Here are some ways to increase your Laurel Society recognition, along with some common questions!

Common Laurel Society Questions:

Can I donate to the Laurel Society?

You donate to SIA to become a member of the Laurel Society. Donations to SIA can be designated to the Dream Programs, Dream Big Campaign, or unrestricted support—all count towards moving up through the levels of Laurel Society recognition!

How many levels of recognition are there in the Laurel Society?

There are 8 levels. You can reach higher recognition levels by making one-time gifts, donating monthly, receiving credit for someone else's gift, or any combination of these (see above).

Does being in the Laurel Society make me a Stargazer?

The only way to be a Stargazer is by having an ongoing monthly gift.

Does being a Stargazer make me a Laurel Society member?

Monthly giving is a great way to earn credit towards joining the Laurel Society, and when you reach $1,000 in cumulative gifts you'll be welcomed in.
